PHASE 2: PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Focus on strengthening spirits by providing job opportunities and financial assistance.  A workforce has been deployed to secure government contracts granting the ability to provide jobs for victims seeking support.

PHASE 3PROVIDE SHELTER AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Focus on mid-term stability by sheltering families and providing specific technical support around complex insurance recovery and rebuild processes.  This phase has been initiated; work with local and federal/state agencies is underway to deliver temporary lodging solutions for displaced families.  Additionally, we are establishing a hotline to support families with the processing of insurance claims, providing adequate representation for families to receive benefits due to them.

PHASE 4: REBUILD LĀHAINĀ

Rebuild Lāhainā, ensuring Native Hawaiian traditional and customary practices are protected and implemented in the true spirit of Aloha.  Return displaced ‘ohana to their homes to reunite with their families and community.  Implement safeguards to ensure that disinterested parties do not take land away from Native Hawaiian families who go back eight+ generations.  This phase will take the longest, but is underway as we identify potential partners, organizations, vendors, and other professionals that can contribute their resources to facilitate the rebuild of Lāhainā.

NATIVE HAWAIIAN SUPPORT

The Road To Maui Fund is the charitable arm of Kīnā’ole Foundation established to provide funding for the Road To Maui campaign to aid communities impacted by the wildfires.  The Road To Maui Fund is seeking support from corporate, philanthropic, and organizational matching partners to incentivize donations to support the people of Maui.  Contributions received will be allocated to trusted community organizations, non-profits, reputable leaders, small businesses, individuals and ‘ohana for Maui-based recovery efforts.
