AND PURPOSE
Kīnā'ole Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Native Hawaiian Organization (EIN 27-0287605) founded in 2010 and based in Honolulu, Hi. Kīnā'ole is committed to tackling and transforming socioeconomic disparities and displacement for distressed Native Hawaiians disproportionately affected by historical and cultural traumas. Through various initiatives, Kīnā'ole strives to enrich a community to develop a thriving society supporting impact projects in areas of land acquisition, community development, health and wellness, business growth, and spiritual and emotional healing.
Carefully selected Board of Advisors and Project Leaders have been established to integrate local community leaders in Maui with other interested stakeholders who have pledged their support and pro bono services in their respective areas of expertise to assemble a team that will unite the support and rebuild of Lāhainā; doing so with transparency and accountability. Internal parties are working in close collaboration with state and county leaders, non-profit organizations, and community members to get an understanding of the quickly evolving priorities.
